I purchased a Generac PWRcell system from their dealer Solar Energy Labs primarily to have backup power for outages since I live in Florida and to hopefully save on my power bill. This system includes 20 Panasonic 325 watt solar panels, Generac PWRcell battery cabinet with 18kWh of capacity, inverter and related equipment. In this configuration I should get 6.5kwh of power during peak hours and should be enough to power my house and recharge the battery for use at night. So far it's not generating enough power to meet my needs as configured.. Notice panel placement in above picture.

My Generac PWRcell system has 20 solar panels rated at 325 watts each for a total of 6500 watts
The Generac PWRcell system PWRview app. shows a 7 day average of 26% self sufficiency by using the solar panels and PWRcell battery in Self-Supply mode. This means 74% of my power is coming from the power company.
More power can be produced by locating the panels on the roof section that gets more sun. Currently panels are placed on the East side of the roof with full shade until noon time then again after 3pm. No panels placed on South facing section of roof.
RESULTS MAY VARY!I will not get a return on investment unless my panels are moved and get better sun exposure. I financed my system and payments are about $139 and my electric bill is currently $130. If my performance was better my electric bill could be reduced but will never be $0.
